Remedy: Crumpets

Yes the weather in Florida can be cold in the winter.  Even though the winter season may only last about 1 – 2 months.  One thing folks don’t know is there can be a 20 degree temperature variability.  It can be 40’s in the morning and 60’s at mid-day.

Visiting Ramsgate in the United Kingdom, I was introduced to crumpets.  As an American, I thought it would be similar to English muffins – I was wrong!  In fact, English muffins were invented by an English ex-pat living in America that missed the beloved crumpets from mother England.  So, the individual invented English muffins.  By far, crumpets are better and English muffins can’t even compare.

I have been making crumpets using Wharburton’s crumpet recipe.
